Granting Local Network Access to Prompt on macOS Sequoia (15)
With the release of macOS Sequoia (15), Apple introduced a new setting for managing apps that access your local network. This change may affect how Prompt connects to servers on your local network.
If you’re experiencing issues, follow these steps to ensure Prompt has the necessary permissions:
-
Open System Settings
Go to System Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network.
-
Enable Access for Prompt
Locate Prompt in the list and toggle it ON to allow local network access.
-
Respond to Any Prompts
You may also receive a pop-up asking for permission to access the local network when launching or using Prompt. Be sure to click Allow.

iOS/iPadOS

Why this matters
We’ve seen some unusual behavior when this setting is disabled—especially when working with servers on the same network. Enabling this setting helps Prompt function correctly in local environments.
