Is Transmit for iOS still available? How can I download it?

As of January 2018, Transmit for iOS has been discontinued and is no longer for sale. You can read more about this decision in our blog post, here.

If you previously purchased Transmit for iOS, it will still be available for download in your list of past purchases. You can get to your purchases list by opening the iOS App Store, tapping on your account icon, then tapping Purchased.

Note: This is the only way to re-download the app. Don’t use the main App Store search field– you won’t find it as the app is no longer for sale. You must go to your past purchases list and download it from there. 

I switched app store regions and I don’t see Transmit in my list of purchases.

Awkwardly, if you switched App Store regions at any point (example: Switching your Apple ID billing from the USA to the UK), your past purchases in the other region will no longer be accessible unless you switch back. As Transmit for iOS is no longer available for purchase, you won’t be able to download Transmit after you switch regions. Be sure to download it before switching if at all possible. Apple has a lot of good info about this in their documentation, here.

The Future

If you did NOT purchase Transmit for iOS in the past, there’s not currently a way to download it. We hope to bring the app back to iOS in some form eventually. Currently, we do not have an estimate as to when this will happen but we still plan to do this when the time is right. Stay tuned!
