Cloud service rate-limiting
Cloud storage providers like Dropbox and Google Drive limit the amount of requests that can be made during a specific time period.
Transmit 5 has been designed to not exceed these limits.
That means during large transfer, an additional login may be needed mid-operation if the transfer takes a long time.
This issue potentially affects the following services:
- Box
- Dropbox
- Google Drive
- Microsoft OneDrive
- Microsoft OneDrive for Business
Simultaneous connections limit
Due to these rate-limiting restrictions, connections to the services listed above are capped at two simultaneous connections.

Transfers
Due to the rate-limiting, adjusting the simultaneous transfers limit in:
Transmit settings > Transfers > is not supported at this time.

While the number of files can be adjusted to be higher, this setting can be changed back down to 2 connections when transferring with one of the above cloud services. This setting only affects FTP/SFTP connections.
Connections
As well as adjusting the number of connections allowed in:
Transmit settings > Advanced > Advanced Server Settings button > is not supported at this time.
