How do I disable the iOS keyboard shortcut bar?

To disable the keyboard shortcut bar on iPad, open the Settings.app and disable Shortcuts under Settings > General > Keyboard.

To disable it on iPhone open the Settings.app and disable Predictive Text under Settings > General > Keyboard.
