Granting Local Network Access to Transmit on macOS Sequoia (15)
With the release of macOS Sequoia (15), Apple introduced a new setting for managing apps that access your local network. This change may affect how Transmit connects to servers on your local network.
If you’re experiencing issues, follow these steps to ensure Transmit has the necessary permissions:
-
Open System Settings
Go to System Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network.
-
Enable Access for Transmit
Locate Transmit in the list and toggle it ON to allow local network access.
-
Respond to Any Prompts
You may also receive a pop-up asking for permission to access the local network when launching or using Transmit. Be sure to click Allow.

Why this matters
We’ve seen some unusual behavior when this setting is disabled—especially when working with servers on the same network. Enabling this setting helps Transmit function correctly in local environments.
If you’re still seeing issues after enabling local network access, feel free to reach out to our support team for further help.
