Viewing the transcript

The transcript is a log of the behind-the-scenes commands and responses exchanged by Transmit and the server during your connection. It is generally only useful for troubleshooting and diagnostic purposes.

To view the transcript, choose Window > Transcript

If you need to contact our support team, it is often helpful to include a copy of the transcript with your questions. To do so, choose Help > Send Transcript To Panic…

If you need to see extra detail not normally included in the transcript, you can enable verbose mode via the following Terminal command. Please note that due to the increased logging detail, your log files on disk will use more disk space. If you need to enable this, be sure to disable it after you’re finished with troubleshooting.

To enable: defaults write com.panic.Transmit UseVerboseLogging 1 To disable: defaults write com.panic.Transmit UseVerboseLogging 0
